Speaking Of Cars...
Oct. 15th, 2011 05:33 pmIt's pretty rural around here, so people depend on their cars a lot. Customization is really big here too, it's rare to find a car or a truck without at least a bumper sticker or a customized plate, and if you do it probably belongs to recent arrivals or out-of-towners.
Anyway, the province I live in lets you pick the picture you want on your licence plate (from a pre-selected list, no one's out there driving around with Goatse on their plates) and there's animals, sports stuff, special crests for veterans, that sort of thing.
One of the images though, is the Starfleet commbadge from Star Trek: The Next Generation, and there's a person in town that has it.
They drive something that, I swear to god, must've been chosen primarily for its resemblance to a Starfleet shuttlecraft, all white and blocky.
Combined with that plate, I'm consumed by curiosity every time I see them drive by.
