Date: 2011-10-07 03:42 pm (UTC)What the heck brought this on? As I recall, Next Generation fandom has always been rather staid. I don't even remember a big slash pairing, just endless Picard/Crusher. What's made them go all Pedobear all of a sudden?

Date: 2011-10-07 03:45 pm (UTC)But I agree. In my limited experience the TNG fandom has always seemed somewhat more tame than other Trek, so this is kinda new.
However, a few years ago I seem to remember the was a Wesley fuhq-fest and apparently, all stops were pulled for that one. I only read a couple of headers and then I backed away slowly.

I'm not confident in fandom enough to imagine the fest had any sort of age limit. The current community doesn't: ...There is no minimum age you need to make Wesley...
