I Hate Writing These Things

tanamyOh man, instead of a brief 'brush up' my resume needs at total overhaul. Possibly even a major rewrite. That'll teach me for ignoring it for so long.
I never like writing these things. I never know what to say. Like, if you say good stuff, like you're supposed to, it sounds like you're really full of yourself and you can picture someone reading your DISPATCH FROM A DOUCHE and laughing.
And then there's qualifications... how well do you need to know something before it can go on your resume? For example, I know a bit of JavaScript, I mean, I can read it and generally get it to do what I want, but there's people out there who leave me in the dust, so do I know JavaScript or not?
Maybe it's like English. I can read and write ok, but I probably couldn't write a book.
So anyway, resumes. Hate writing 'em. It's nearly midnight and I'm still up writing!
