I've been wondering something. What do you think Deep Space Nine, like the station itself, smells like?
I mean, there's carpets and loads of food all over and recycled air and vole infestations and nobody ever seems to do any cleaning... sometimes when I'm watching I think about stuff like that.
Nobody ever seems to ...akwardly pause... when they walk in through the gear-doors, so it must get cleaned somehow. And I guess if it smelled bad, Captain Baseball Vulcan would have said something.

Date: 2011-04-25 09:31 pm (UTC)It seems that engineering has a hand in that job. At least I recall having heard of "waste extraction" as a place engineers get stationed. But yes, I think all space stations have a fair bit of odor. I also think that all space travellers get used to the various stinks fairly quickly.
