Should You Choose To Accept It
Mar. 4th, 2011 09:10 pmHa ha ha, all right. I'm going to marry off my little Harvest Moon farmer guy to that jerk Jamie.
I had been buttering up Katie, the waitress at the Café Calloway, but eff that. I want to see how this goes down, even if it does cost me my farm. Katie's at about 8 hearts, so I should be getting the Blue Feather soon.
It should be easy, Summer's almost swung around again, and the little dick likes blueberries. Last year, just giving him one when I saw him (hanging out near my house in the dark, the little creep) got me about six hearts with him already.
...no, he doesn't get any nicer as the hearts go up. Still a solid wall of dickery, but the insults do get more entertaining.
The interesting thing about Jamie is that when Harvest Moon: Magical Melody was on the Gamecube, and you could play as a male of female farmer, Jamie could be either a boy or a girl. The opposite of whatever you picked. When the game was remade for the Wii though, the ability to play as a girl was deleted and Jamie's stuck as a girl.
This switch would be interesting enough on it's own, but when you consider Jamie seems to know the Harvest Goddess really well, was unreasonably upset at her turning to stone*, and even has the same colour hair... maybe he's her child or something. Don't laugh, in later HM games, you can marry the Goddess yourself, as terrifying an idea as that may be.
Anyway, this should be interesting. I'll have to call P when it happens, I don't think she lasted long enough in Magical Melody to get married.
* Seriously, even her minions weren't that upset
