Pottery Barn

Thanks to Netflix, I've been watching a lot of American comedy movies. I loaded up on the genre when I was a kid, but since then, I've kind of avoided them... until now.

One thing I'm curious about, what's with all the pot? Isn't it still illegal in the U.S.? Yet it shows up all the time in these films and all the characters seem to know it by smell alone.

Even on Top Gear US Adam was able to identify the cigarette he found in his newly-bought used car as pot just by smelling it.

Heh, I don't know about the US and pot. But what I do know is that it does have a very distinctive smell. I've never even tried it myself, but once you've smelled it, you kinda never forget.

And no, it smells NOTHING like oregano. :oP
