Crouching Tiger, Hidden Facebook

So this morning Facebook did what Facebook usually does and someone from my past has 'reconnected' out of the blue. She's sent me a message.

I don't use my Facebook often, what's the etiquette here? Is it OK to just ignore the message if I don't want to talk to this person? Because... I really don't want to talk to this person.
